Recently, I read several articles about dressing the essence of a person and how being authentic to who you are and your natural energies. In order to feel energized, you must dress in the appropriate colors. Some of the systems I have researched have broken color analysis into personality traits. Which beacons the questions, how do you dress the diva? Not all divas are created equal and we certainly don't all have the same coloring. Reading about schools of color has always fascinated me as an Artist andas an Art History enthusiast. Basically there are four schools: Spring, Summer, Autumnand Winter. Color analysis is anchored in an analysis of the subtleties of your skin, hair and eye coloring. I can remember being introduced to this theory back in my freshman year in college. My instructor wasn't sure which category I fell into because I looked great in both the Summer and Autumn palates.
I've dug a little deeper and discovered theories that personality traits as well as coloring play a role in selecting your color palate. I can support that kind of reasoning because it means that certain personality types fall into certain categories which means there must subcategories to each color group. Basically Springs are a youthful more animated energy, Summers are thoughtful and reflective, Autumns are direct and know what they want and Winters are dynamic and meditative.
Is there such a thing as a power color? Are there certain colors that make you appear more credible to others. I believe so and that is why the major internet gurus flock to color analysis as one of the many bags of tricks they have in their arsenals. If you don't believe me take note of your favorite powerhouse internet marketer and speaker, you will notice a polish that seems to transcend mere words. Sixty percent of what is communicated isn't content but your visual statement. This means if your appearance is communicating divine diva your words might get lost in the rafters. Having a polished speech and an excellent image can go a long way in establishingcredibility and leadership qualities.
