Today, I interviewed a female Private Eye and Bodyguard, Donna Smith who owns a 1971 Cobra fully loaded muscle car that runs on racing fuel (interview in the Adrenaline Living archives tab above). I thought today would be a great day to talk about the adrenaline sport Drag Racing- yes, the legal kind folks! While I was surfing the internet, I found a great video about a new reality tv show about training female dragsters.
Drag racing is a sport in which you drive a high performance car in a straight line full throttle against another car for 1320 ft. Drag racing cars can get over 300 miles an hour in this short strip. A top dragster produces 8000 hp and can go from 0 to 320 in 5 seconds according to Wikipedia- and that as they say girls is adrenaline or A.D.R.E.N.A.L.I.N.E.
Drag racing school can teach you how to compete or just plain drive the hell out of someone else's car without the headache or tickets associated with your own ride. Pushing your boundaries and opening your eyes to new possibilities is what this website is all about. Once you have conquered your worst fears and mastered them you can become the entire woman or person you were meant to be. Once you feel the power of 5000 hp coursing beneath you and the squeal of tires burning that hello kitty persona will soon change into the regal, mind-blowing, tigress you were born to be. Enjoy!

I recently interviewed Nik Halik of thrillionaires website and his experience with a bucket list are extra-ordinary as are the people I interview on my radio show. He started his list when he was eight and has accomplished nearly all his goals by 40 with the exception of walking on the moon and living in outer space in a space station which he says should take about twelve to eighteen months. So what makes people like Nik and others of his elk different from those people who don't live their goals. Well for one mindset, and this is the biggest stumbling block to anyone becoming successful. You may read all the books and quote the best of the best self-help gurus in the industry but is your life what you want it to be. I'm guessing if you were lulled into reading this article maybe not.
I recently heard that the subconscious mind is influenced by writing things down and that includes your bucket list so don't type your bucket list; write it down. When you write your list and if there are any number on the list write those numbers out as well. Let your subconscious mind work in harmony with those things you desire. If you don't have a bucket list, get busy and make one. A bucket list is a list of things you want to do before you die.
Most of the people living life with passion and gusto say that the top reasons most people don't live their dreams are because of mindset, money and a lack of support. Many of the people I've interviewed have had at least one or two of these thing in their favor. If you would like to hear the interview you can go to the Adrenaline Living archives and listen to the archives of our interview; It was truly inspiring as is Nik's list.
Here is Nik's bucket list:
1. Become a rock-star
2. Become a millionaire
3. Run with the bulls in Pamplona, Spain (adrenaline article is coming on this one)
4. Become a mountain climber and summit the highest peaks
5. Deep sea explore and have lunch on the Titanic
6. Own exotic private homes around the world
7. Become an astronaut
8. Explore and travel over 100 countries
9. Rocket to outer space and reside on the space station
10. Set foot on the lunar surface of the moon
Find a quiet place and remember all the things you wanted to do and just list them. See how many of those things you can accomplish this year. The list can have big and small items just make sure they stretch you. Make sure your list is hand written and keep the list on your person. Nik said he personally reviews his goals at least twice a day. Be inspiring. Take Action. Fall in love with life for the first time or all over again. Discover your passionate self again.

I didn't realize that the first female, Major Jennifer Grieves, to pilot Marine One which is the president private helicopter began her new duties with President OBama's administration.
You can see the pride Major Grieves feels in having accomplished so much so early in her career. If this doesn't inspire you to pursue your dreams, I don't know what will.

Europeans call Deep- water soloing, Psicobloc or psycho-boulder. Deep-water soloing is a form of rock climbing that relies totally on having water below the climber as a safety net. Deep-water soloing is a popular sport in the following countries: Majorca, Croatia, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Bulgaria, Thailand and Vietnam. According to Wikipedia the sport first made it's debut in the 1960s or 1970s and most likely in the United Kingdom or Majorca. The sport includes climbing a cliff above the sea without ropes. As with any sport, there are varying degrees of difficulties from the novice to the professional. Watch the video, Deep-water soloing looks like fun. Enjoy!

Amelia Earhart has always been an enigma for many people. Everyone has a different theory as to how she met her demise. Well, how her life ended will not be the focus of this article. I want to celebrate and rejoice in her entrepreneurial, adventurous spirit. According the the dictionary meaning the word explorer is defined as a person who investigate unknown regions. For Earhart, international aviation was that unknown territory. Earhart lived only thirty-nine years but with those thirty-nine years she lived so much more fully than the average person. Today we still talk about her spirit to transverse the unknown, her curiosity and her child-like faith that took her to parts of the planet that few others had every seen.
Few people don't realize that although Amelia grew up in a wealthy family her money was placed in a trust fund and Amelia didn't have access to it for several years. Amelia went to high school and later a two year college where she soon dropped out. How did Amelia get into aviation well, the story goes that Amelia went to an air field and fell in love with flying. A pilot was trying to have some fun with her and flew directly over her expecting to run but Amelia stood her ground and didn't flinch. In that single moment I knew all I needed to know about her character.
Amelia became determined to become a pilot so she worked as a trucker, stenographer, and a photographer to get enough money to take flight lessons and the rest as they say was history.
Some facts about Amelia that you might not have heard are that she was an editor for Cosmopolitan magazine for two years, she had a line of clothing, and luggage. Amelia was a seamstress who often sewed her own garmets. Everyone wanted to be like, dress like and look like Amelia. Amelia's famous bob was imitated by women around the world, most women in aviation cut their hair short for practical reasons. She was an author and spy. Amelia was a smart marketing machine who sat on the boards of many organizations. She was intelligent, resourceful, adventurous, a champion for women aviators, and had an uncanny business savvy. She didn't have the word "no" written in her vocabulary.
Amelia's adventures are legendary. She broke records for being the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, the North American continent, flew in the Powder Puff Derby an all female air flight contest among many other solo flights she took.
A new movie is coming out about this amazing woman and her contributions to aviation, business, government, fashion and she literary world. Source Wikipedia.

In todays economy, taking a sabbatical may sound radical but it can be a release for the soul. Stress levels are up which means that as the weather turns colder more visits to the doctors office. Who wants to be sick? Why not take a sabbatical of whatever length you deem is necessary for your health and sanity. I've interviewed many people who have taken sabbaticals and they've all told me that the break was worth it to their peace of mind and finding that little part of their soul they felt was missing.
3 Reasons for taking a sabbatical
A sabbatical can help with increasing your creativity. Creativity does not exist in an exhausted mind. Creativity is like a waterfall it must be allowed to flow naturally. If you damn the waterfall in any way i.e. stress it can cause our creativity to dry up which is why it is important to get out of our rut and try new things, scary things like adrenaline sports.
A sabbatical can help with your inability to try new things and conquer your fears. Too many times we see ourselves as these little limited, colorless, human beings that we have invented because we took this personality quiz or our parents or friends told us that we are this way or that way. Well, I have news for you, you never know what you can do until you are placed in a position where you are tested. It's like separating the shaft from the wheat and chances are if you are reading this you are the wheat and not the shaft. Life is not for the cowardly; it is for champions.
A sabbatical can help with your inability to learn to enjoy life. Yes, I am a big believer in loving, laughing and giving to others. When are batteries are recharged we are able to give to others and we are able to laugh and be light of spirit. Taking time to stop and smell the roses or sky dive over the roses is medicine. Be a connoisseur, tiger!
Here is an interesting discussion on the subject of sabbaticals.

Hot Air Ballooning
Lately, we have so many stories about hot air ballooning. The sport is beautiful and the ride is extraordinary. A hot air balloon ride is exceptionally quiet with the exception of the propane burners when they are firing. If you want to have an Eagle's view of our planet and experience the sheer majesty of and wonder of what this world has to offer try the meditative nature of hot air ballooning. The first hot air balloon ride took place in 1783 so the sport has been around for many rides. In early October the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta which is a nine day event and features over 750 balloons and the event is the largest of its kind in the world.
Some Facts
Changing the altitude and speed of a hot air balloon is accomplished by changing the temperature of the air inside the balloon through the blast valve. Changing the direction of a hot air balloon is done by steerage which is accomplished by riding on spiraling wind currents according to Wikipedia.
Fear and hot air ballooning.
Release your soul and allow your spirit to soar. When you are riding on the wind and appreciating how much beauty their on this planet, you can't help but push the envelop on what keeps you stuck and unfulfilled. Exploring new passions and new experiences can help us to see what we are made of and like it or not it is in the adversity when we see just how high we can soar.
Enjoy the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Special Shapes Day
