I saw an article in the New York Times about artists that are striving in today's economy. These artists belong to a new breed of artists that they are selling their artwork on line. Several years ago, artists would sell exclusively to galleries and brick and mortal businesses and would completely shun having any kind of web presence and now those who are embracing the new age of fine arts are reaping the rewards. I love finding these kinds of stories because it gives everyone hope that with the proper tools you can be a success and find an audience for your genius. I interviewed the author of the Renaissance Soul Margaret Lobenstein and you can find the interview in the archives but she speaks about pursing your interests. In her book, Lobenstein allows you to pursue three hobbies to pursue as she states in her book anymore would be overwhelming and defeat the purpose of focusing on those interests for a stated time frame. Applying this concept to money-making and you can see the same kinds of benefits that these artist in the New York Times article accomplished.
